Fairy Tales

(Dakota and Emily getting princess makeovers, July 2011)

You see I have a four year old little girl. I love the sweet and spicyness she offers to the world. I love her with ever inch of my heart and soul. But the one thing about her I love most is she believes in happily ever after.

She loves when people fall in love and get married. She tells people she cant wait to fall in love, get a ring and be married. And those people sometimes comment to me that she should slow down. But people, remember she is 4 years old. Her world consists of a mommy and daddy that are still in love. Her world consists of tons of books that she begs us to read to her over and over again about Princesses and their Prince Charmings who live happily ever after.

I know that is not the real world. And one day she will find out that the bad guy is much harder to spot in the world because he is not always in a dark cloak lurking in the shadows. Sometimes the bad guy can be Prince Charming. But for right now I will just smile knowing that my little girl still believes in fairy tales.

2 Minute Update

- Well after many years of working full time, I officially now work part time. It took a long time to come to the decision but whats best for Bean was for me to stay home more. So I now only work three days a week. I stay home Saturday thru Tuesday and her Daddy stays home with her Wednesday - Friday.

- With that being said, my mom has moved back with her family to Missouri. It's now just the three of us. Bean handled the adjustment like a champ. Mom gave us a gift that no one could have ever given us. She put her life on hold for her granddaughter. And for that I will be forever grateful.

- Bean is doing great in school. Her teacher says her nickname is Class President. I think that's a good thing...hahaha. She still has one more year of preschool and then on to Kindergarten.

- Husband is doing well in his career. Recently started K-9 agitation school and came home with a zillion dog bites. He loves it and that makes me happy. Oh and he has a new love...he got a brand new 2011 Tundra. Rubs it with a diaper..enough said.

- Mother in Law is just about recovered from hip replacement. She also handled that adjustment like a champ and should be back at work in a week or two.

- Bella still is the laziest dog ever. Not much to say about her except she is due for a day of beauty from OC Groomer Girl.

- Our house is...well the same. We did some backyard updates. New outdoor dining area complete with a ceiling fan and heater. Nothing too dramatic. May have to rip a palm tree out because we are pretty sure its sick or dead.

THE END

The Day Bella Met OC Groomer Girl

I have always been a firm believer in treating your pets as if they are a member of your family. Because when you really think about it they have their own individual personalities, their own likes and dislikes and they have the ability to love just like everyone else.

I love my pets. They are a part of me. When they hurt I hurt. I recently lost my chihuahua of 16 years. But I still have my Bella..Oh my Bella. If you have read my past posts there a few Bella adventures on there. But today was one I had to tell you about.

So I know you have seen those mobile pet grooming places around town. Well we decided we would find one and give our "Bells" a day of beauty. So I called up the OC Groomer Girl and they came to my house this morning RIGHT ON TIME in this!

And soon our Bella found her self here.....

Then she found her self really getting in to it....

Then after nails, bath, blow dry, teeth brush, massage and facial her self esteem went through the roof...

I can't say enough about Jenna the OC Groomer Girl. Thank you for providing us such a wonderful service. We will definitely be return customers.

And finally a love note to my favorite greyhound...
